Hi I'm in the market for a hydraulic dump trailer for hauling gravel, brush, leaves , shingls, and the tractor. Does anyone have an opinion on the different brands? I have done a little reseach and have found Bri-mar, U-dump, Dandy dump and Foster. I have seen Bri-mar and Dandy dump in person, they seem functional but a little flimsy. The Foster is a New Holland company, lthough I have only seen a brochure they seem to be the best built. Almost over built. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

I have owned a Bri-mar dump trailer for about two years now. It's a 6'x10' low profile, tandem axle 7000 lbs. trailer. I've hauled everything from shingles to dirt to rock and it has proven to be exceptional. The 7000 lbs. trailer is rated for carrying 5000 lbs. (The 7000 lbs. rating minus the 2000 lbs. weight of the trailer equlas the 5000lbs capacity.) I have however on several occasions exceeded that. I've hauled 6300 lbs of rock with no problem in either hauling or dumping. The bed raised with little hesitation. As far as being flimsy, I have no complaints but then I don't know what youre comparing it to. One thing I have experienced (and this may be applicable to trailers other than the Brimar) in very cold weather, if you elevate the bed to maximum heighth, you may find yourself climbing to the top of the bed while pressing the "down" button to get the bed to lower. It happened to me twice.
I have hauled my TC33d in my trailer but it is a tight fit and no room for any 3 pt. implements. Also, if you are getting the trailer to haul your tractor, do yourself a favor and spend the extra cash up front to get the drive on loading ramp. It's rated at 4000 lbs. and is channel reinforced.

I have a 6 x 10. Call 1-888-dumpers for more info.It has power down which I really like. I also have a 6 x 12 parker, very heavy built trailer. the parker puts too much weight on the truck & the easy dump can't quite get enough weight on the truck, I'm just careful on the road. The parker will only dump 4 1/2 ton, the easy dump will dump 6ton on it No problem. I normaly haul 5 ton. If I had to give on up I would keep the easy dump. Note a extra 2ft on a trailer make a differance on how they handle a work. And yes my truck is a heavy duty 3/4 Ton. that's my though's ....
